Nutshell, located near Trafalgar Square in London, offers a modern take on Iranian cuisine, reflected in its thoughtfully designed interior. The design celebrates Iran's geometry and colours, inspired by traditional architecture featuring arches and soft curves. This influence is evident in the banquettes and feature mirrors that adorn the walls.
Drawing from Iran's pistachio orchards, the design incorporates greens and pinks, echoing the colours of the fields and the nuts. The space achieves a harmonious balance between these traditional details and modern elements, such as blackened steel and a minimalist aesthetic.
Art plays a significant role, with custom abstract pieces conceptualized to reflect Iranian architecture and culture, adding depth and character to the environment. This blend of traditional and contemporary design elements creates a unique, inviting atmosphere, honouring Iranian heritage while providing a fresh, modern dining experience.
